Caswell Bay Chalet

The Chalet

The chalet has been renovated in a bright and modern style and is doubled-glazed.

There are two bedrooms sleeping four people - a double room and a twin with duvets and pillows provided - with a travel cot available.  Linen, including towels, is available for hire.  The chalet has an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room with a dining table seating four.  There is a comfortable sofa and armchair in the living area along with a flat-screen TV with DVD player
.  The kitchen is compact but has everything you'll need - full-size hob and oven, microwave, fridge with icebox and it is one of the few chalets to have a washing machine - so that means less packing!  A washing line is behind the chalet.  The bathroom is fully tiled with a walk in shower.  Electricity is via a £1 coin meter.  Outside the front door there is a patio area with a picnic table and seating for four.  In warmer weather this will be the place you spend a lot of time as it's a very sunny spot - perfect for eating, reading or relaxing with a glass of wine after a day at the beach.nnPlease take a look at the pictures below to see inside the chalet.

Our chalet faces into the sun so is flooded with light all day. It's surrounded by well-manicured lawns and there is a parking space directly outside the door.  Complimentary Wifi is available in Caswell Bay Chalet.

I'm sorry but we're not able to have any pets to stay in our chalet - no matter how well behaved!  Our chalet is also strictly non-smoking.

The Area

Caswell Bay is in the area which was the first in the UK to be designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.  It's not hard to see why with the fabulous sandy beach - perfect for making sandcastles but also with plenty of rockpools to explore.  If you're feeling energetic and are up for a challenge, there's the Caswell Bay surf school on the beach catering for all ages and abilities.  You have the added reassurance that Caswell Bay Beach is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months.

Summercliffe Chalet Park is also on the edge of the Bishopswood Nature Reserve offering an alternative to the beach with some lovely walks.  It is also adjacent to Langland Bay Golf Club - a beautiful links golf club with stunning views over Langland Bay.

At the beach itself there is a shop selling ice creams, takeaways and beach toys.  Next door there is a cafe serving breakfasts, light meals and hot and cold drinks.

The village of Mumbles, set on Swansea Bay, is a five minute drive from Summercliffe Chalet Park.  In Mumbles you will find an interesting selection of independent shops as well as some high street names including supermarkets, banks and chemists.  It also hosts a range of watersports facilities, playgrounds and golfing.

Further afield, a 15 minute drive away, is Swansea which boasts a  leisure centre with pools and slides, as well as an indoor surfing pool; two cinema complexes; Plantasia, an indoor tropical garden with reptiles and the Maritime Museum which is alongside the town's marina.  Swansea also has a greater range of shopping including several large supermarkets, some which will deliver to the chalet.

The chalet and Summerclife Chalet Park sit at the gateway to the stunning Gower Peninsula with its beautiful beaches and coves.  It has so much to offer in terms of coastal life, walks and scenery.

Whatever your tastes or interests, this area really does offer something to everyone for an easy and relaxing holiday.
