It's not hard to see why with the fabulous sandy beach - perfect for making sandcastles but also with plenty of rockpools to explore. If you're feeling energetic and are up for a challenge, there's the Caswell Bay surf school on the beach catering for all ages and abilities. You have the added reassurance that Caswell Bay Beach is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months.
Summercliffe Chalet Park is also on the edge of the Bishopswood Nature Reserve offering an alternative to the beach with some lovely walks. It is also adjacent to Langland Bay Golf Club - a beautiful links golf club with stunning views over Langland Bay.
At the beach itself there is a shop selling ice creams, takeaways and beach toys. Next door there is a cafe serving light meals and drinks.
The village of Mumbles, set on Swansea Bay, is a five minute drive from Summercliffe Chalet Park. In Mumbles you will find an interesting selection of independent shops as well as some High Street names including supermarkets, banks and chemists. It aso hosts a range of watersports facilities, playgrounds and golfing.
Further afield, a 15 minute drive away, is Swansea which boasts a newly modernised leisure centre with pools and slides, as well as an indoor surfing pool; two cinema complexes; Plantasia, an indoor tropical garden with reptiles and a Maritime Museum which is beside the town's marina. It also has a greater range of shopping including several large supermarkets, some which will deliver to the chalet.
And not forgetting that the chalet and Summerclife Chalet Park are at the gateway to the stunning Gower Peninsula with its beautiful beaches and coves. It has so much to offer in terms of coastal life, walks and scenery.
